June really got away from me! Here we are, mid-way through July already!
I have had some health issues pop up. Thankfully, it is nothing serious, although I have myself a case of frozen shoulder. That has been fun!
The sourdough baking has been a real joy. The fam loves the sourdough pancakes I have been making! I also made some graham crackers, loaves of bread, and Anzac biscuits. I am definitely making the grahams again soon. They were so good!
My porch pretties are all doing well. My tomato and pepper plants are struggling. I mean, they aren’t dead, but they are not exactly thriving either. Ugh. The two tomatoes I have had so far were absolutely delicious.
We haven’t done much this summer. Story of my life. I want to go camping again, but the rain has been relentless. We have made it to the river a couple times. That was much needed. The rain really bothers my knees, so I do not really get as much done as I would like as a result. Here in the next few days, I have to tear into our storage room down stairs and take inventory of all my canning stuff. I want to do some canning before fall gets here. I am anxious for my mom to return home. She has been up north visiting family. We are going to hit up some of the farmers markets to get some goodies to can. I cannot wait!
I also want to get my porch furniture sanded and stained. I have books I want to read, and I finished another macrame placemat. I have two more to do but need to order more cord. I also found a perfect piece of driftwood at the river the other day. I plan to make a macrame wall hanging for our bedroom with it.
And with that, I must be off. I am listening to a podcast about the Titanic. I only have 3 more episodes left. I am going to finish listening to this while I fold some laundry, then I am going to go lie in my hammock for a bit and get started on my next book.
🙂
