About Me.

Hi! I am Jen. I am a 50-something married (21 years now) mom to an 18-year-old, who is my world.
I was born on Cape Cod, and have lived in a few different places in Massachusetts, as well as Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Florida, and now Maryland. My mom lives with us. We have one cat, because she is enough. We call her our “fur-covered terrorist” and despite being so, we love her to bits.

Now that I have more days behind me than I have in front of me, it has changed my perspective a LOT. I struggle with the goings-on in this crazy timeline, and so I have shifted my focus to really just taking it day by day and living each day in full gratitude.

I want to grow a small homestead situation here. I like to macrame and make cards, and I would love to be able to paint using watercolor paint, but that is going to take some time, I think. I am also learning to crochet.

I love to feed and watch the birds, love cats, and to spend quiet lazy time in my hammock, take pictures, go on hikes, be at the river, explore abandoned places, read, gather with family and friends, sit around bonfires, camping, having my morning coffee with the sun, cooking, baking, canning, and my new thing is sourdough baking. I believe music can heal… I love trees, especially lonely, solitary trees… I love photography and taking long drives with my camera.

I really love all of the little things. The stuff we are often too busy to notice or appreciate.

Thanks for reading and for being here. I do hope you will stick around ..
